Jetta 1994-2007
As with most growing families, we have found since Isabelle was born that poor old Jetta just wasn't big enough for us anymore. It was a very sad day for S and I when we finally accepted the fact that it was almost time for the poor old girl to move on to car heaven.

Jetta was a good girl, almost never causing us any problems. She needed the occasional day at the spa after a long drive...but she had close to 300K on her! Not many cars ever see that!! And in the last year or so we've also been a little delinquint with taking as good of care of her as we normally would (by "we" I mean S...I know nothing about cars) And it made us feel even worse about her when every Saturday morning our neighbours on both sides would be out washing all their cars...from us lazy bums Jetta rarely got more than a poor man's wash (rain)

So last Friday we drove her over to the Toyota dealership and traded her in for a brand spanking new Sienna. Even the drive there was filled with excitement as we got pulled over by the police...never a dull moment!!! We kinda deserved it since there was the odd part hanging off of her, expired licence plates and there was almost no brakes, but the nice officer let us off since we were only a couple of blocks away.
But since the car conversation has come up with many of our friends lately, it took a long time for us to decide what we wanted to drive for the next 300K of our lives. It took one test drive for us to decide that this was going to be our next "Jetta". We are both LOUD and PROUD to be minivan owners, and it will be even better when we take her in next week for the window tinting and DVD player installation..because hey, we still want to be somewhat cool!!

So goodbye Jetta, we still miss you every time we walk out into the driveway and see that you're not there anymore!! You'll always remind us of our younger days pre-baby...and many fun road trips to many places throughout the province. Enjoy car heaven...you deserve it!!

(I'm not the only one that writes obituaries for our car.....)

Nobody is going to be able to look at a picture of her smiling again without thinking..."Heyyyyyyy"
Thanks R & V. ;)

Look, I know Toyotas are highly rated for safety, and in clude a number of standard safety features including like 15 airbags, but I think you're still supposed to use a car seat for Izzie.
